Managing business online since 2004

If you’re looking for home-based or virtual work, you’ve come to the right place!

As a work at home mom of many years, I’m passionate about helping people find telecommuting work they can do at home.

There are a number of reasons for remote work.

  • No jobs in the area
  • needing to be at home with small children
  • needing to be at home to take care of elderly parents or disabled people in your life
  • you might be disabled, again unable to find work
  • personal freedom
  • tax advantages
  • reduce stress and
  • you might be able to do things you never thought you’d be able to do

I’m fascinated by the internet and its growth, how electronic media is shaping our world.  It’s exciting to me to see businesses flourishing online, and how the technology and people grow.

On this blog I share job leads/listings, how I get those listings so you can do the same,  how and why I market the way I do.  I’m active on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.   I keep my finger on the pulse of much of the home-based world to see what new jobs are out there, what fields are growing, what tools are available to me and possibly others.  Through my blog I’ll often share what I’m currently doing for work.  If it works for me, it might work for somebody else too.  Most remote or telecommuting people need to have more than one “egg in  our basket” or clients because just as businesses, work can come and go in the outside-the-home or “brick and mortar” jobs, the same happens online.  Businesses can fold for all kinds of reasons.  Managing a business, on the other hand, encompasses more so you’re more likely to have just one or two clients instead of many “eggs”.

I redid an old website recently to reflect that I design marketing campaigns both online and over the phone.  I generally work through Elance and Guru and I’m hoping to expand to take on more clients.  http://pwalbridge.bravesites.com/
